Each month presents a variety of articles unmatched by any other cutlery publication, appealing to knife collectors, dealers, users, sportsmen, and knifemakers alike. KNIFE WORLD advertisers enjoy: For maximum impact, we now offer full color ads in sizes 1/4 page and larger. If you’re on a budget, black and white ads start at under $50 a month for an ad the size of a business card. Display ads may be any size desired in keeping with the mechanical
restrictions, and are billed per column inch displaced. (*To determine your
ad size, multiply number of columns wide by ad height in inches.) Rates are
for display space rental only based upon camera ready copy. Multiple insertion discounts apply to ads of the same size throughout the contract
period. If for any reason, an ad is cancelled prior to completion of the
contract period, advertiser will be billed for discounts taken but not
earned.
KNIFE WORLD will produce ads if desired by the advertiser. Within reasonable limits, there is no charge for this service which includes typesetting and layout design. Your ad can be any size desired so long as it meets the following column width and height restrictions:
Ads may be submitted digitally on CD-R, DVD-R, or by email in one of the following formats: PDF, EPS, or QuarkXpress 5 or 6.5 preferred; JPEG, TIFF, or Photoshop accepted. Please include all necessary images and fonts when submitting digitally. Digital images should be submitted as files (TIFF preferred, Photoshop, JPEG and most other formats acceptable), minimum 300 dpi at printed size. Glossy prints are also acceptable. Camera ready ads must be prescreened at 100 lines per inch. COLOR ADS: Color ads must be created with process color (CMYK). For good results, black type and other elements must not be output as “process black.” Please check your layout and make sure that black elements are made up of just “K” before finalizing your design. 40¢ per word, minimum 20 words. Same ad running 6-9 consecutive months - 35¢ per word per issue, 10-12 consecutive issues - 30¢ per word per issue. All classified ads must be PREPAID when ordered. We do not accept classified ads via phone, but fax and Email are both acceptable.
